Edmund Spearman (1750-1804) and Dinah (Dishman) Spearman (1753 - 1815) of Essex County, Virginia moved to Brushy Creek, Pendelton District

Son: David Samuel Spearman of Caroline County, Virginia (1774-1851) also moved to Brushy Creek, Anderson County with his parents Wife Nancy (Clardy) Spearman (abt. 1774 - abt. 1853) she is the daughter of Daughter of Benjamin Clardy Jr (1742-1832) and Agnes (Booth) Clardy (1755-1847) now they are a sign in Piedmont near the nursery home near Hardies in Piedmont I believe it says 1790 they was in the area

Children of David Samuel Spearman (1774-1851) and Nancy (Clardy) Spearman (abt. 1774 - abt. 1853) are:

  • Francis “Frank” Asbury Spearman (1816 - 1893) married Frances Lenora (Slatton) Spearman (1810-1887)
  • Matilda MIllie (Spearman) Kelley, (1802-1874) married Benjamin Kelley (1799 - aft. 1850)
  • Benjamin James Spearman (1804-1879) married Catherine E. (Odom) Spearman (1809 - 1891)
  • David Desmond Spearman Sr, (1806-1878) married twice I believe Mary (Smith) Spearman (abt. 1807) and Christine (York) Spearman (abt. 1807 - abt. 1860)
  • James Meyers Spearman married Elender (Roper) Spearman (1808 - 1898)
  • John Wesley Spearman (1808-1873) married Elizabeth (Cameron) Spearman (1813 - 1889)

Ok Edmund Spearman (1750-1804) had a brother

SPEARMAN, THOMAS Ancestor #: A108014 Service: VIRGINIA Rank(s): PATRIOTIC SERVICE Birth: CIRCA 1740 VIRGINIA Death: 1800 NEWBERRY DIST SOUTH CAROLINA Service Source: ABERCROMBIE & SLATTEN, VA REV PUB CLAIMS VOL 1 PP 192, 197, 200, 206, 208 Service Description: 1) FURNISHED SUPPLIES

According to the National Genealogical Society Magazine "A short Census of Virginia 1779 lists Individual's who turned in their English money to the Continental Congress as a loan Edmund is listed as giving 400 pounds also listed is George Washington ' s children David Samuel, Sarah, Mary, Patsy, Jien/June

Edmund Spearman and Dinah Dishman proven by her father David Dishman Will which mentioned Dinah Spearman

Father-in-law: David Dishman (1714-1794) Westmoreland, Virginia area Essex County area

Mother-in-law: Sarah Weedon (1716-1794) Westmoreland, Virginia area and Essex County area

I don’t understand why they was listed as George Washington’s children in less they worked on one of his Plantations? I’m assuming they had to work for land to farm.
