Please do not add parents or siblings for Zachariah without documentary evidence of the relationship. We do not know his parents or if he had siblings. Additional yDNA tests would be appreciated.

Please do not add to this biography. If you have sources or information that you would like to add, please post it in the message box and I will add it to the biography. We only use sources that are consistent with US Southern Colonies Project.

Thanks!

If you notice that Zachariah II., (Spencer-3043) didn't marry Ann Pogue (Pogue-75) (until 1755, So ... Some of the children that are listed for him, Do not belong to him.

James (Spencer-9672), his son, was born in 1750 ... I don't have a date other than abt 1765. There is a problem there.

Zachariah III (Spencer-3041), is his son and that seems okay.

Elizabeth Spencer (Spencer-10262) is okay, but born 27 Feb 1758, Baltimore Co., Maryland

Charity (Spencer) Robinson,(Spencer-10260) & (Spencer-6409) have the same info, but DOB has to belong to (Spencer-6409), Daughter of Zachariah Spencer I (Spencer-312)This would be the same situation with John Spencer Sr.,(Spencer-6411)& Spencer-10271) that DOB can only be a child of Zachariah Sr.(Spencer-312), & Charity Cobb (Cobb-4362)

I think the fact that he married Christian in Baltimore in 1728, indicates he was in the colonies prior to 1728. If Garry has some documentation,it should be added

This biography has gotten to be a bit messy. Please post any opinions or new sources in the message boxes and allow the project that is managing the profile to incorporate the information. Alternatively, add documents and records in the style outlined under WikiTree guidelines. Also, remember that we do not cut and paste large sections of information but rather link to it.

I will work on it this week

Thanks!

I believe that Zachariah arrived in Maryland in 1724, but naturalized until 1742.

On 2 February 1728 Zachariah married Christian "Coob" in St. George's Parish, Baltimore County, Md. (St. George's Parish Records, microfilm #M-1158, 1681-1798, Maryland Hall of Records.)

She died evidently after Zachariah II was born and he married Charity Cobb. ( WTSII note ) Date given as 13 July 1725 (cannot be accurate since it precedes first marriage date )but listed in ( Adm.. Accts. book 12, pp. 475-7).
