Biography

Laura L. Sportsman was the daughter of John and Mary (Turpin) Sportsman. She married Richard Goodman Oldham on January 2, 1845 in Chariton County, Missouri. He was the son of Goodman Oldham and Catherine (Kitty) Jackson.

To this union 13 children were born John, George, Thomas, Richard, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Mary, James, Laura, Robert, William, Susan and Dora.
