1911 June: Mentioned as giving away his sister Pearl at her wedding

1918 June: there is a mention of a Percy Standen from Bolygamy (presumed to be the same person) who is mentioned as singing at a farewell party. This of interest to his remaining family as there are a few of his descendants who are singers and this might be where that talent came from.

1918 August: Listed as one of 6 men who had a successful application via ballot for a homestead farm in Bolygamy (near Wyalong). This was out of 446 applications. He was granted lot 65 and was listed as already being from Bolygamy. It is interesting to note, that they do not refer to him as a returning soldier in subsequent listings. Although in his wedding announcement and some other documentation he is mentioned as a returning solider. There are no records to indicate that he did in fact service in the military.

1919: Birth of his daughter Elaine Mary in Newtown NSW. Presumably they were living in Sydney at this time.

1923 April: Advertising that he has opened a hairdressing salon in the Metropolitan Hotel in West Wyalong. There is a recurring advertisement in the news for the salon.

1923 October it is advertised that he sold all of the furniture etc from their residence on the Corner of Court and Operator street (near Golden Fleece Mine)

1923: Birth of son Albert William (Bertie) in Gundagai

1937 was granted a barber's license and is noted as being from Lake Cargelligo. He and his wife are listed in the electoral role as living at Canada St in Lake Cargelligo. He was noted as a hairdresser.

1940: When two of his sons tragically drowned in Lake Cargelligo he is mentioned in the news articles as being former well know resident of West Wyalong, Ungarie and Buddigower. It mentions again that he was a returned soldier, but this could be due to the journalist referring to old articles about him. It notes he is a hairdresser and also is known for racing greyhounds.

1943: Living at 8 Beaufort St in Lithgow NSW, listed as a hairdresser

1949: Living at 51A Bradfield Park in West Lindfield, listed as a labourer
