Biography

William Stanley, Esq., Sheriff of Cheshire was born circa 1405 (aged 23 in 1428) at of Hooton and Stanley, Staffordshire, England.[1]

In He married Mary Savage, daughter of Sir John Savage, Bailiff of the Forest of Macclesfield, Constable of Halton Castle, Chamberlain of Middlewich and Maud Swynnerton.[1][2]

They had 4 sons:[1] *William, Esq

  • John
  • Richard
  • Thomas

and possibly a daughter:

  • Margaret - not in Richardson, but generally agreed to.

William Stanley, Esq., Sheriff of Cheshire was alive 6 February 1456.[1]
