Biography

European Aristocracy
Henrietta Stanley was a member of the aristocracy in British Isles.
This profile is part of the Stanley Name Study.

Henrietta Blanche Stanley was the daughter of Edward John Stanley, the 2nd Baron Stanley of Alderley. She was born on 3 July 1830.[1]

In 1851 Henrietta ("Blanche") was living at Grosvenor Crescent, London, with her parents and siblings Henry, Alice, Maude, Catherine, Algernon and Rosalind.[2] Her place of birth was stated as "Saint George Hanover Square, Middlesex, England".

Later that year Henrietta married David Ogilvy, the 9th Earl of Airlie, on 23rd September 1851 in Alderley, Cheshire.[3][1][4]

In 1890 Henrietta was said to be residing at 4 Lowndes Square in London and Airlie Castle in Kirrimuir, Forfar.[1]

Henrietta died in 1921 and was buried at Cortachy, Angus, Scotland.[5]
