Benjamin Stanley was born November 12th, 1673 to Matthew Stanley and Ruth Andrews. Vital records of Topsfield, Massachusetts, recorded him his birth as "Beniamin, son of Mathew Stanley, borne 12 of Novembar, 1673." [1]
He married Lucie Merrill and had many children including Ann and Captain Matthew Stanley.[2][3][4] The vital records of Haverhill, Massachusetts, indicate that Lucie Meriel and Benj[amin] Stanly married "before 1716."[5] Their first recorded child, Ruth, was baptized in 1713.[6]
This profile stated that he married Lucie Merrill on November 15th, 1714, citing "Massachusetts Marriages, 1695-1910," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FCHV-YJG : 4 December 2014), Benjamin Stanly and Lucie Meriel, 1715; citing reference ; FHL microfilm 14,767. This source does not support the claimed date. It is an index entry, apparently derived from the Haverhill vital records entries that show Benjamin Stanly and Lucie Meriel marrying "before 1716."
