Biography

Jere Stebbins was born on July 16, 1757 in Springfield, Hampden, Massachusetts, the son of Benjamin Stebbins and Sabra Minor. [1] He married Elizabeth Brewster in Massachusetts in 1779[2], and they had eight children. He died February 2, 1817 in Springfield and is buried in the Park Street Cemetery Inscription: "In memory of Jere Stebbins,Esq. who died Feb 2,1817 in the 60th yr of his age." [3]
