Alfred married (1) Betsey Cornwell. They had two children together.
Henry Hawner Stedman, 1857-1944
William Sherman Stedman, 1864-1938
Alfred married (2) Mary Wilbur. No issue.
He passed away in 1894. He is buried in the Greenville Rural Cemetery, Greenville, Greene County, New York, USA.[1]
Note
Another descendant of Nathan - an Alfred Stedman - married Betsey Cornwell whom I thought was part of Peter's family. Now with our work, I have re-looked at that. There was a Betsey/Elizabeth Cornwell, age 20 in Greene county in 1850 census who might fit. She was a daughter of a deceased Cornwell and an Elizabeth Cornwell, age 50. It could very well be that those Greene county Cornwells are somehow related to your Albany county family.
