He was noted as born 1848 in Georgia as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are female Elvira Stephenson, female Nancy Stephenson, male William Stephenson, male John Stephenson, female Ann Stephenson, female Elizabeth Stephenson, female Emeline Stephenson and male James Stephenson.^[1]

E M Stephenson was listed as the father of Judson F Stephenson who died February 9, 1933 in Summerville, Chattooga County, Georgia. The mother was listed as Mary Barron.^[8]

Eli Stephenson was listed as the father of William Robert Stephenson who died June 23, 1933 in Summerville, Chattooga County, Georgia. The mother was listed as Mary Barron and the wife Lula Warsham Stephenson.^[9]

Eli Monroe Stephenson is buried at South Carolina Campground Cemetery in Holland, Chattooga County, Georgia.^[10]
