James R Stephenson was enumerated as son of the head of household at Summerville and Lyerly Road, Summerville, Chattooga County, Georgia for the January 29, United States Census, 1920. He was noted as born 1912 in Georgia and single as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head William R Stephenson, wife Lula E Stephenson, son Ely M Stephenson, daughter Bonnie Stephenson, daughter Vera Stephenson, son William R Stephenson Jr. and father Eli M Stephenson.^[1]

Roy Stephenson was enumerated as son of the head of household at Lyerly Road, Militia District 0925, Chattooga County, Georgia for the April 18, United States Census, 1930. He was noted as born 1912 in Georgia and single. He was a laborer on a general farm as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head William Stephenson, wife Lula Stephenson, son Will Stephenson and father Eli Stephenson.^[2]

On April 1, 1935, R [J] Roy Stephenson lived in rural Chattooga County, Georgia.^[3]

R [J] Roy Stephenson was enumerated as head of the household at University Street, Summerville, Militia District 925, Chattooga County, Georgia for the April 17, United States Census, 1940. He was noted as born 1911 in Georgia and married. He rented a home and was an operator waste? machines (cotton mill) as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife June Stephenson and daughter Joe Ann Stephenson.^[3]
