Biography

Mariota or Margaret Stewart was born about 14950 in Innermeath, Perthshire, Scotland. She was the daughter of Thomas Stewart of Innermeath ^[1] and his wife the Lady Janet Keith.

She died some time about 1534 at Inchmartine Perthshire, Scotland.

Marriage

Margaret Stewart was married to Patrick Ogilvy the son and heir of Inchmartine about 1510.

By a grant of his father, James Ogilvy of Inchmartine, on 3 Jan 1512/13 they were infeft in lands of Netherside of Balgay and 10 merks worth of Eastside of lands of Pitmiddle.^[2]
