Sir Alexander Stewart, 3rd of Dalswinton and Garlies was born about 1443 in Garlies, Wigtownshire, Scotland. He was the son of Sir William Stewart (2nd of Dalswinton and Garlies) [1]
He lived at Garlies, Wigtownshire, Scotland.
He held the office of Scottish Ambassador to England in 1485.
He fought in the Battle of Sauchieburn in 1488.
He died circa 1500 in the Ottoman Empire at Trebizond (Trabzon).
He married Elizabeth Douglas, daughter of Sir Archibald Douglas (3rd of Cavers). [1] They had issue:
