Death
She died after 1850 when she was listed in the census but before 1860 when she was not enumerated. As previously mentioned Margaret was living with her daughter Susan Sumpter in Greenup County, Kentucky in the 1850 census while her husband was head of household at Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana in 1850. [5] The reason for their separation is not known however, we might speculate Margaret was ill and being cared for by her daughter.
