Martha Stewart married Samuel Palmer, 23 May 1829 in Greenup County, Kentucky. Geo. W. Bellomy was bondsman and consent for her marriage was given by John Stewart, father.

Martha Palmer, age 45, born Virginia was living in the household of Samuel Palmer 1850 census Greenup County, Kentucky [1]

3 April 1853--deed dividing the estate of John Stewart proves Martha's parentage. "William Stewart & Eleanor his wife of Wayne Co Virginia to Samuel Palmer of Greenup Co sell 9 acres, Lot #2 of the division of the lands of John Stewart......William Stewart beings one of the heirs of said John Stewart deceased." Signed Wm. Stewart, Eleanor (X) Stewart [2]

21 Apr 1853 William Stewart & Eleanor his wife of Wayne Co., VA to Samuel Palmer of Greenup Co -- "witness whereas by a division of the lands of the late John Stewart"-William Stewart became possessed of lot no 2-- $50 paid by Palmer to Stewart-containing 9 acres.
