William Calvin^[1] Stewart was born 01^[2] November 1844^[3] in Mississippi^[4] to George W. & Elizabeth Stewart.^[4][1][5]

He served in the 7th Mississippi Confederate States Army.^[2]

He married wife Mary Jane^[6] about 1864^[7] and they had the following known children:

1. Elizabeth^[6] M. Stewart was born in Mississippi about 1865.^[7]
2. L. E. Stewart was born in Mississippi about 1870.^[7]
3. Henry^[3] H. Stewart was born in Mississippi in February of 1876.^[3][7]

In the 1900 census Mary Jane noted she has had 7 children and 5 are still living.

He died 14 Aug 1907 and is buried in Stewart Cemetery, Pearl River County, Mississippi.^[2]

William C. Stewart wrote his will on 03 April 1905 in Pearl River County, Mississippi. The will was entered into the August 1909 term of the Pearl River Court for probate.^[8][9]
