Laura Stone was the wife of Rev. Aaron Cornish and the daughter of Nathan Stone and Clarissa Smith Stone.
U.S. Navy Mother's Claim for Pension No. Nav.WO.3,166, declaration made by Mrs. Laura Cornish on 14 December 1883 states that son George Cornish volunteered about 15 August 1863. Goes on to list other children, names of their spouses, and where they live. Explains that they were dependent on George to work the land, since the other children were married and gone. With George dead, Albert helped his parents, and was eventually deeded their land in return for his help. She states that her husband had no fixed salary as a Minister for over twenty years prior to his death in 1872.
