Chester Arthur, the 21st President of the United States and Charlotte (Stone) Dunning are both descendants of George Washington Stone, Sr.. Chester and Charlotte are first cousins

Charlotte was born in 1837. She was the daughter of George Stone and Charlotte Geer. [1]
Charlotte "Lottie" married Chauncey M Smith in Feb 1858 and he died in Oct 1858. They had one child, a daughter, Hattie. [2]
1860 United States Federal Census Charlotte was widowed and living with her parents and her daughter Hattie. [3]
Charlotte married Dr. Abram Rennselaer Calkins in 1863. Both Charlotte and Abram were widowed. He had three children with his first wife Lucy; Frank, Francis, and Fred. She had her daughter Hattie. Abram dies in 1873 leaving Charlotte a widow for the 2nd time. [4]
Charlotte marries Henry Dunning in 1876. He is her third husband. [5]
In the 1880 United States Federal Census - Henry's 15 year old daughter, Mary Belle is living in the household, and Charlotte's 21 year old daughter Hattie is also living there. [6]
1900 United States Federal Census - The household is Charlotte and Henry and one of Charlotte's younger sisters is living with them Eliz (Stone) Geppert. [7]
