Biography

Berthe Helene Gulbrandsdatter was born at Strandbakken unde Strande, Kolbu, Vestre Toten 24 Sep and christened 4 Dec 1842.[1]

Berthe Helene is the child of GuldbrandAndersen and Marthe Hansdatter.

She emigrated 22 Apr 1852[2] and took Strandbakken as surname in the US

She died in childbirth, November 21, 1881. Her infant daughter, Alice, died three months later.
