On April 22, 1816, Hiram Stratton purchased from John Graham a 118-acre survey of land lying on Johns Creek of the Levisa Fork of the Sandy River in Floyd County, in exchange for $105. John Graham signed, sealed, and delivered the deed to William James Mayo, Clerk of the Floyd County Court, who recorded it the same day.[6]

Stratton-1083 and Stratton-2333 appear to represent the same person because: Earlier birth date is incorrect, his older brothers were born in the 1770's and census data backs up the later date. Both married to Hannah Leslie and had son Milton and others. The Hiram called Hiram "Wilson" was this Hiram's son.
