Biography

Volga German
Alexander Strecker was a Volga German.
Alexander Strecker has German Roots.

Family #39 in the 1834 Grimm census.

Jakob Alexander Strecker was born in 1825, the third of four children. His mother's name is not known. His parents probably married around 1818-1819 and his oldest sister Katharina Elisabeth was born in 1820. Katharina Margaretha followed two years later, and then Jakob Alexander was born three years after that.

Jakob Alexander's great grandfather Friedrich, the head of their household, died six years before he was born. It's not clear when his great grandmother passed away, but it was some time before 1834. He had two older sisters and one younger sister, the latter born in 1829. At some point between 1829 and 1834, his mother passed away, and his father died in 1830. By 1834, Jakob Alexander was living with his grandfather Johann Adam and his three sisters.
