Rosa Stupple was born about 1861 at Kaiapoi, New Zealand. She was the second daughter of Martha Hedgman and George Stupple. [1] [2] Martha' husband George had died in December 1860.
In 1879 she gave birth to a son, George Henry Stupples.
In 1881 she married William John Patience. [3]
The couple lived in Berhampore, Wellington for over 50 years until their deaths. William predeceased her in 1937. [1]
She passed away 28 December 1942 age 81 at her son's residence in Island Bay, Wellington. [4] [5]
She is buried with William at Karori Cemetery. [6]
Hedgman DNA cluster includes McNabb-412, and two descendants of George Henry Stupples via different children of George's. - MyHeritage.
If the 24 May birth date is correct, it is possible that George was Rosa's father even though he was already dead.
