BASTROP - Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. to¬ day in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home here for Mrs. Cleora Pickering, 71, of Bastrop.

Burial was in Carter Cemetery near here.

Mrs. Pickering died Monday evening in Morehouse General Hospital after a short illness.

Survivors include her husband, Sylvester Pickering of Bastrop; five sons, Herschel Pickering of Bastrop, Randall Pickering of Holt, Mo., Gerald Pickering of Independence, Mo., Rudolph Pickering and Adrian Pickering, both of Morgan City; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Ann Chelette of Camden, Ark., and Miss Doris Pickering Shreveport; three brothers, Wallace and Orsan Sullivan, of Shivers, Miss., and Buster Sullivan of Mt. Olive, Miss.; five sisters, Mrs. Dovie Hall, Mrs. Gertie Craft both of Mt. Olive, Miss.; Mrs. Clarie Sullivan of Shivers, Miss., Mrs. Gracie Sullivan of Laurel, Miss., and Mrs. Wortle [sic, s/b Wyrtle] Norris of Collins, Miss.; 23 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
