At the 1860 U.S. Census, 20-year-old Charlott Sultzbaugh was living in the household of her mother, Mary Sultzbach, age 46, in Millersburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. The census sheet has several surname spellings for the family. Charlott Sultzbaugh was employed in domestic labor. Also in the household were Jacob Sultzbauch, age 19 and a mason's apprentice; Alex. Sultzbauch, age 16 and a laborer; Amanda Sultzbauch, age 10; Catharine Sultzbauch, age 6; and Emma J. Sultzbauch, 1 year old.[1]
