Biography

Charles S Sutton was born Aug 22, 1892 the son of William Sutton & Ellen (Roberts) Sutton.

He is living with his parents in both the 1900 & 1910 US Census for Sevier Co., Tennessee.

He married Byrd Mae Duggan sometime before 1915 as he states on his WWI draft registration that he is married with 2 children.

In the 1920 US Census he is enumerated with his wife Birdie and 2 children in Civil District 16, Sevier Co., Tennessee. He is 27 years old and a teamster who rents his home.

In 1930 he is back in District 4, Sevier Co., Tennessee, down the road from his father. He is 37 years old, has no occupation and is renting his home. He & Byrd now have 5 children.

In 1940 he lives on 71 Highway in Sevier Co., Tennessee. He is 47 and listed as a Laborer who rents his home. There are 5 children and 2 grandchildren living in his household.

He died 17 Dec 1973 in Sevier Co., Tennessee and is buried in Shiloh Memorial Cemetery in Pigeon Forge, Sevier Co., Tennessee
