Sergeant Jonathan Sutton served with 1st New Jersey Regiment, Continental Army during the American Revolution.

Jonathan Sutton fought in the Revolutionary War as a Sergeant in Captain John Polhemus' Co. and the 1st Regiment of New Jersey Troops commanded by Colonel William Alexander, Earl of Sterling. Was at the Battle of Monmouth. Alexander-5433 He served from October 29, 1775 to January 13, 1776. [3]
