Biography

Alvin was born in 1913. [1]

On July 16, 1934, Alvin was in a car accident with his childhood friend Ira Brown Jr. Ira died in the accident. Alvin was injured/burned. Less than 3 months later, Ira's sister Pauline also died in a car accident. Later that same year Alvin married Ira and Pauline's sister Marie Brown.

Alvin married Marie Brown on November 24, 1934. On their wedding night they "hid" out and spent the night at Alvin's sister Edna's home. Alvin's friends were hoping to find him in the middle of the night and make him push his new bride around town in a wheelbarrow![2]

Alvin worked the Pacific Fruit Express Railroad when living in California and Arizona. Pacific Fruit Express (reporting mark PFE) was an American railroad refrigerator car leasing company that at one point was the largest refrigerator car operator in the world.[3]

Alvin passed away in 1993.[4]
