He was Selectman, Surveyor, Town Clerk, Assessor and Captain of Militia. In 1675 his house in Dartmouth, Massachusetts burned and afterwards he built a stone house near Oxford in Fairhaven, Massachusetts - a part of the chimney of which is still standing. ^[3][4]

Thomas made his last Will on 15 June 1723.

He died on 11 Nov 1730 in Dartmouth, Bristol County, Massachusetts Bay^[5] and his estate was in probate court on 20 March 1732/33.^[6]

His widow Mary died on 03 May 1734.
