Birth & Upbringing: Born 1952 in Selukwe.
Education Lot was educated at Ascot Secondary School in Gwelo.
Occupation: Before joining the police, Lot worked as a storekeeper in Gwelo and then as a farm hand on a local farm. He joined the BSA Police in June 1973; Reg.No.21656; served until February 1977
Demise: Murdered by terrorists while serving as a Constable with Duty Uniform Branch in the Gwanda District (Operation Tangent). [1] [2]. "Lot had been sent out on patrol on 9 February on a bicycle in full district Uniform, serving papers on TV and radio licence defaulters, but failed to return four days later. A search for him proved negative and on 2 March his body was found by a local. He had been shot and it was subsequently established that a small group of terrorists had been seen in the area on the day he disappeared." [3] .
Burial: Lot Tagwira's funeral service took place at Selukwe on 7 March 1977
