Biography

In May 1961, Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet Mary Daniel Tammany, president of the College of St. Teresa, announced that 49 acres of land at 119th and Wornall Road had been purchased as the site of the new college campus. Sister Mary Daniel had been diagnosed with acute leukemia, and died later that year. [1]
