Biography

Vincent was born in 1730 in Culpeper, Virginia, USA. He was the son of William Tapp III and Christian (Bourne) Tapp.[citation needed]

Alternate: Vincent was born in 1740-1749 in Virginia, United States.[1]

Military Service:

Enlisted in the Revolutionary Army October 10, 1776 for Two years, rank Private. He was in the 12th Regiment commanded by Col. James Wood. He transferred to Neville's co, 4th, 8th and 12 Virginia Regiment. He was discharged October 10, 1778. He was given 100 acres of land on June 20 1783 ( Richmond D land Office, Warrant Number 921, Book 1 pg 180). According to records two Vincent Tapps served in the war, under the same command that is why one was called Sr. and one Jr.

Alternate: Vincent was in a military record for his service as a Sergeant in the Revolutionary War.[2]

Tapp-973 and Tapp-102 appear to represent the same person because: These profiles are for the same person, I adjusted mine with new findings to 1929 birth, so it's only a year apart. Same DNA, relatives, etc.
