Research Notes
Today (8-25-2023), I corrected DOB and DOD in the data fields and removed all links to Darnell (whom she did not marry). I may or may not have been the person that caused this "dibacle" - I definately contributed to it, so I will handle the clean-up. The merge of similar Clara B women most likely was only part of the issue. I'll deal with whatever issues as I move forward as I may have caused them. [Wendell-374]
I'm resourcing and cleaning up issues as I go. I may have to add a new profile for the "other" Clara B, who married Charlie Darnell and had a son Jay Jefferson Darnell if she gets lost in the shuffle. I will verify linked relationships for accuracy later today and feed back to any "managers" that show as linked. This is a work in progress.
MARRIAGE:
ALERTThis Clara did not marry Charlie Darnell in 1888 and did not have a son Jay Jefferson in 1894.
FindaGrave and another source distinctly show this Clara B's mother's maiden name was Eliza Hicks.
The "other" Clara B in her marriage to Charlie Darnell, was the daughter of John Taylor and (given name not provided) maiden name MILAND (possibly aka Eliza M Taylor). Was Miland a 2nd given name of Eliza M? I have not addressed the "other" Clara B. I need to finish with this one first. At any rate, the maiden name of Clara B who married Charlie Darnell was NOT Hicks.
MARRIAGE #1: This may or may not be a marriage between her marriage to Charlie Darnell and Homer W Doty.
Is name Linton a publishing error?
Did she marry a Linton after marrying Charlie Darnell?
MARRIAGE #2: Horner or Homer W Doty
Homer W Doty appears to have a Mrs. Belle Linton where they were both age 31, the marriage having taken place on 10 Sep 1902 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois[11]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Clara by comparing test results with other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Clara:
Merge duplicate was a mistake and I am in the process of cleaning up issues. 2 Clara B women - one married Darnell - onemarried Linton and Doty. I'm in the process of resolving issues caused. How I could have contributed to this only makes one wonder. All the other corrections appear to have been smooth ... but the last 2 Clara B issues derailed. I will work on the Clara B who married Charlie Darnell next and get her reconnected to the right husband and son Jefferson before the end of the day.
Taylor-74708 and Taylor-6309 appear to represent the same person because: This is the wife of a different Charles Darnell - that has all been corrected and the son, Jay, is already attached to the correct father. She is also corrected to the correct father under profile Taylor-6309.
Found Clara B has a duplicate Clara Bell (Taylor) Darnell (1871-1899) that needs to be merged into Taylor-6309. As this profile was created first, I have moved the connection of the son and his accurate relationships here and have already created a new profile for Clara's husband (needed when I found him "morphed" into a different Charles Darnell profile). I believe all the wives and children have been allocated to their correct positions and all the incompatibilities resolved (except for merging the two Clara B profiles which I will attempt to do next).
