James Taylor was born on 26 Dec 1830, and christened on 11 Jan 1831 at Huyton.[1] He was the son of Robert and Ann Taylor.
By June 6th 1841, the family were living in Croppers Hill(?), Eccleston. Robert was a gamekeeper. John Marsh, a coal miner aged 60-64, was living with them, probably as a boarder or lodger.
By March 30th 1851, the family was living in Park Side, Eccleston; Robert was still a gamekeeper.
James married Elizabeth Meadows on 16 Oct 1854 at St. George Chapel, Wigan, Lancaster, England. [2]
