SR. QUEEN FOR CASS NAMED
Francellia `Fran` DAVIS, 72, Logansport, has been named 1984 Cass County Senior Queen. She was crowned Tuesday at the Cass County Multi-Service Center. Entertainment was provided by Clara Whisler and Rose Hathaway. DAVIS will compete in the Area V Agency on Aging Senior Citizen`s Queen Contest June 9 in Kokomo. She has five children, two stepchildren, 17 grandchildren, 15 stepgrandchildren, six great-grandchildren ans 16 step great- grandchildren. DAVIS is an active member of Faith United Methodist Church. She is retired from Logansport State Hospital and has done volunteer work for the elderly. She has also accumulated more than 1,000 hours of volunteer work at the Third Street United Methodist Church nutrition site. Gifts for the Queen were donated by Fernbaugh`s Jewelry store and Carey`s Flower Shop.
When she competed at Kokomo, she placed first-runner up.
