Biography

Abraham was baptized in the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, New York, on 4 February 1728. He was recorded as the child of Theunis Teerpenning and Grietjen de Graaff. Witnesses were Jan Een and Elisabeth Een.^[1] According to his marriage record he was born in Hurley (Ulster County, New York).

Abraham Teerpenning of Kingston was married to Maria Schmidt of Hurley in the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, New York, on 6 November 1750.^[2]

Abraham Teerpenning died on 10 July 1791 and is buried in the Teerpenning Family Ground in Esopus, New York, where his wife is also buried.^[3]
