Biography

Izah was born in 1849. She is the daughter of Timothy Tenney and Iza Gibson. ^[1]

In 1860, the Tenney family lived in Norway, Oxford County, Maine. The family included (Mrs.) Isa B.P. Tenney, 40, born in Maine, who had $1000 in personal estate; her children, S. Adah, 18, b. ME, a music teacher; Isa W., 11, b. VT, in school; and Charles R., 6, b. VT, also in school.^[2]

In 1870, the Tenney family lived in Norway, Maine. The household included (Mrs.) Izah Tenney, 50, born in Maine, with $1200 in personal estate; her children, both born in Vermont, Izah W., 21; and Charles R., 16, who works the farm. Living nearby was Izah’s daughter Susan A. Danforth, 28, and her husband F.A. Danforth.^[3]
