Arthur Frederick Thielke was born on 10 April 1892 in Grafton, Ozaukee, Wisconsin, United States, son of Hans Joachim Martin Thielke (1843–1927) and Wilhelmine C Rathke (~1857–1929).[1]

Arthur (27) married Madora Martha Louisa Last (21) (born on 14 May 1898 in Grafton; daughter of Carl Friedrich Herman Last and Augusta Johanna Wilhelmine (Luedtke) Last) on 26 July 1919 in Port Washington, Ozaukee. Their children were:
