Biography

Jane Sophia Thompson was born on 01 Feb 1822 in Pitt Town, New South Wales, Australia as the sixth child of Matthew Pearson Thompson and Ann Earl. She had six siblings, namely: William Pearson, Frances Ann, Elizabeth, Ann Isabella, Matthew George, and Thomas John. Jane was married on Monday, September 2 1839 by Banns at the Pitt Town Church of England Church at the age of 17 years, to George, son of Christian and Sarah (nee MILLER) STERNBECK. Officiant was John Espy KEANE, Chaplain. Witnesses to the marriage were Matthew G THOMPSON and J D WOOD, and Jane Wems JOHNSTON. She died on 09 Dec 1904 from Senile decay. [1] in MacDonald River, New South Wales, Australia. When she was 17, she married George Christian Sternbeck, son of Christian William Sternbeck and Sarah Miller, on 02 Sep 1839[2] in Windsor, New South Wales, Australia.
