When he was 23, he married Dorothy Grace Sheather, daughter of Alfred Ernest Sheather and Ellen Bell, on 19 Apr 1924^[3] in Newtown, New South Wales, Australia. When he was 30, he married Eva Elizabeth Wood, daughter of Charles William Wood and Marion Charlotte Stratton, on 31 Dec 1930^[4] in Bexley, New South Wales, Australia.
