Biography

Walter Thompson was born on 11 Jan 1912 in Mountain Station Creek, Eukey, Queensland, Australia as the tenth child of William Pearson Thompson and Elizabeth "Eliza" Meharg. He had twelve siblings, namely: John, Samuel, Sarah, William, Violet, Elizabeth Mary, Elsie, Matthew, Kathleen, Doris, Emma, and Joyce. He died on 22 Nov 1965 in Stanthorpe, Queensland, Australia. When he was 20, he married Brenda Bott,daughter of Adam Conrad Bott and Jane Martha Josephine Spiller, on 12 May 1932 in Stanthorpe, Queensland, Australia.

Walter Thompson and Brenda Bott had the following children:

  • Gwendoline Brenda Thompson was born on 09 Sep 1932. She married Thomas Patrick Johnson on 31 Mar 1956 in Forest Hill, New South Wales, Australia.
  • Colin Walter Thompson was born on 01 Mar 1934. He died in Jan 2012 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. He married Evelyn Watson on 01 Mar 1958 in Stanthorpe, Queensland, Australia.
