Biography

Hugh Thompson was born in 1660.

Hugh Thompson emigrated in 1683 to Clogh, Antrim County, Ireland where he married. Hugh Thomson was on April 18, 1689 sworn and admitted as an inhabitant of Letterkenny and on September 11, 1690 leased an acre of land for 21 years. He was a blacksmith, "a big strong man" and a public spirited citizen. He died intestate.

He passed away in 1719.
