Biography

Marianna Lori Thornton was born about 1841 in Schuyler County, Illinois to Albern J. Thornton and Nancy Moore.

She married (1) David Berry, son of Daniel G. Berry and Sophia Tyson, on 8 Nov 1858 in Schuyler County, Illinois.[1] On 9 Aug 1862, David was enlisted to serve 3 years as a Private in Company C, 119th Illinois Infantry, however, he died 10 Jun 1863 at Memphis, Tennessee of Consumption.[2] Their child:

  1. Martha J. Berry, b. about 1859.

She married (2) an unknown Reno according to Alma Wiles (Littrell). I found a Mary A. Berry who married Leonard W. Reno on 23 Jan 1872 in Greene County, Illinois (Marriage Book F, page 18, License No. 6714) but I cannot tell if this is who she meant.[3]

I can find no records on Marianna after 1860 so it is unknown when she died or where she is buried.
