Biography

Thomas Timmons Jr. was born in 1745 in Worcester, Maryland. He married Mary Clarkson in 1763. Children: Easterling, Joseph, Rev. Stephen, George, Ananias, Ephram, John W, Isaac, Jesse. He died in 1799 in Worcester, Maryland.

Thomas Timmons 1757 Double Purchase Patent MD. 1757 Note: Double Purchase. 1757: Thomas Timmons patented 138 a. called "Double Purchase" in West Berlin, District # 9, Map 26. 1762 June 3: Thomas Timmons, Sr. sold to 108 a. Thomas Timmons, Jr. 1768 May 23: Thomas Timmons, Sr. repatented 108 a. "Double Purchase Enlarged". 1771 Novembert 5: Thomas Timmons sold 39 a. of "Double Purchase Enlarged to Steven Timmons. (probably his brother).

1783: Thomas Timmons (Jr.) paid taxes on 69 a. of "Double Purchase Enlarged". 1783: Sarah Timmons (Thomas, Sr's widow) paid taxes on 34-1/2 a. of "Double Purchase Enlarged".

1797: Thomas Timmons (Jr) willed his portion of "Double Purchase Enlarged" to his sons, Benjamin, Stephen & Bassett Timmons.

1803 December 13: Stephen Timmons, son of Thomas Timmons (Jr), of Ross Co., OH and attorney of Robert Timmons of Sussex Co, DE sold to Benjamin Timmons of Worcester Co., MD 50 a. of "Straban" & "Double Purchase".

1804 September 13: Benjamin Timmons devisee of Thomas Timmons sold to Benjamin Timmons 37-1/2 a. of "Staban" & "Double Purchase". Leah Timmons, widow of Thomas, Jr. quit claimed her dower right. 1804 September 13: Benjamin Timmons sold pat to Bassett Timmons 50 a. that Thomas Timmons willed to him in 1797.

1808 October 14: Anna Timmons, Leonard Timmons, George Timmons, Sarah Timmons, Stephen Timmons sold to Bassett Timmons and wife Elizabeth Timmons "Double Purchase", "Double Purchase Enlarged" that Thomas Timmons willed to sons aforesaid and wife Anna Timmons, to be sold 54 a.
