Further work is needed on this profile and those of other children of Edward Tinsley. These children have all been linked to Tabitha Taylor, when there is pretty good evidence that their mother's name is Margaret (last name unknown). There is a tradition that she was Margaret Taylor, daughter of James Taylor, but he was not known to have a daughter Margaret. Now the linkage to James Taylor has been maintained but the parentage has somehow been attributed to Tabitha.

Biography

Sarah was born about 1725. She passed away about 1825. Genie World shows birth as being 1722 and again as 1725 and death as being in one Ca 1800 and the other as 1825. Familysearch sows birth 1722 and death as 1825. I have chosen the Wikitree source for Sarah's profile, which is, 1725-1825. I'm uncertain which is correct. Sarah Tinsley and Richard Vernon were married in Carolina Co., Virginia in 1743.

Sarah was born about 1725 in Caroline County, Virginia,^[1] the fourth of a dozen or more known children and the oldest of six or so daughters Edward and Margaret Taylor Tinsley.

Alternate date of birth: 1728.^[2]

In 1743, when she was about eighteen, she married Richard Vernon in Caroline County, Virginia,^[3] and they had about eleven or so known children, four sons and seven daughters:
