Biography

Katherine was born in 1586 and baptised at St.Mary's, Helmingham, Suffolk, on 7th August. She was the daughter of Lionel Tollemache and Katharine Cromwell and she married William "Drake" Playters, gent, at the same church on 3rd July 1604. ( Called Dorothy in the visitation of 1612 - but Katherine was the wife of William.)

Tollemache-100 and Tollemache-99 appear to represent the same person because: Have uploaded the information requested (which is also on the page for William "Drake" Playters). Hope we can merge these profiles as Katherine. Her baptism record 1586, August 7th, is on the same page of the East Anglian Miscellany.

I don't think Dorothe existed. Katherine was the wife of William Playter - although the Visitation of Suffolk incorrectly stated "Dorothe" (E.A. Miscellany). Helmingham baptism records show: Mary 1585, Katherine 1586, Ann 1589, Lionell 1591, Robert 1592 and Edward 1596. No Dorothy.
