Buried Old Union Cemetery, Mount Vernon, Jefferson, Illinois, USA. [1] Note: HS #3-21. Maryland Worked as a Shoemaker. 1775 Enlisted in Capt. Rezin Bell's (Beale) Co., MD Militia. 1776 in Capt Dent's Co.,. 1777 Entered the Continental service in Col Luke Marberry's Regt., Gen Smallwood's division. Fought in campaigns against Lord Dunmore, at Germantown and Brandywine. (Personal mss and Newman's Md Rev. Recs; NSDAR Book 156, p80.). 1778 Oath fides in Prince George's Co (Copy Maryland Hall of Records) and appears there in 1790 (census data). Mentioned in several deeds. 1781 Bought tracts "Turnell and Bowling Green" from Fielder Bowie; Deeds FF, p99;1782 sold same to Wm Johnson Greer, Deeds FF 1, p 263. 2 A forceful and intelligent man. 1793 moved to Washington Co., MD. 1807 was in Ohio Co., Ky (Ohio Co., KY Deed book AA, pp326, 410, 521. 1819 was in Madison Co., MO. 1820 Fredericktown, Mo - found in deeds. 1830 Census in Madison Co., Mo - St. Michael Township, Madison County, Missouri. 1835 pensioned. 1839 was in Mt Vernon, Jefferson Co., IL (Time probably off, if death date of Thomas is correct.?). Grave marked in Old Union Cem., Mt. Vernon, Jefferson County, Illinios. Original Bible records in possession of Mrs. Harriet McInnis, Spokane, WA. 2 1846 lived with Thomas Tong in Gallatin, Co., Ill. 1848 Died - buried Old Union Cem - Grave marked.
