Deliah was born near Troy, Richmond County, NC in 1780 to parents Caleb Touchstone and Anne Dewitt. She married Stephen Thomas Williams of Randolph, NC about 1803 and they had 11 children. Her husband was quite wealthy and they lived on a plantation on Big Mountain Creek and Buffalo Creek which abutted Solomon Allred's land. They also owned a Mill and Cotton Gin. Her husband served in the military under Colonel Armstrong's NC Regiment. When Stephen became ill he wrote his Last Will and Testament and left Deliah and her 11 children the huge estate. He is buried in the Old Concord Cemetery in North Richmond County, NC. Sometime after his death in 1830, she and almost all her children and their families moved to LA and can be found in Cauldwell, Jackson and Ouatchia Parishes, LA. Deliah died in New Orleans, LA in 1861.
