Biography

Lydia (Townsend) Richards was born 28 October, 1745, the fourth child of Charles Townsend and Abigail Embree ^[1]. She was married 15 December, 1763 to Rowland Richards under the care of Philadelphia Monthly Meeting, Arch Street ^[2]. The couple had 15 children. Her husband, Rowland, passed away in 1815 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and she died in Richmond, Indiana at the age of 90 on June 25th, 1835.
