Inquisition Post Mortem[1]: taken at Altryncham 21 Sep 1488.....Sir John Trafford knt died seised in his demesne as of fee tallage viz.to him and his heirs of half the manors of Bolyn, Norclyf, Thorneton super le More and Hellesby and of one messuage and lands in Northernden together with the advowson of the church of Wilmeslowe. The said John Trafford died January 11th 1488 and Edmund Trafford Esq is son and heir aged 34 years and more.
