[NOTE: John Trask who died at Beverly, MA on May 13, 1720, listed as age abt. 62 y. CR2. (p. 581 Beverly VR) .That would make his birth about 1658 and is likely not the same John Traske ]

Biography

John Trask (or Traske) was born January 7, 1666 at Salem, MA son of John Trask and Abigail Parkman. [1]He married Hannah Oborne, daughter of William and Hannah (Burton) Oborne on Nov. 26, 1701. Hannah was born Dec. 2, 1679 at Salem [1] and is mentioned in her father's will as Hannah Trask. (p. 360) [2]

Two children are recorded at Salem, William born Sept. 10, 1703 (p. 359) and John Jr. born Oct. 10, 1704. (p. 358) [1]

Notes for JOHN TRASK: Yeoman, he married Mary as his 2nd wife.His first wife was Hannah Osborn and they had 10 children.He was born and reared in Salem where he was a "good citizen", and like his father lived in the Black Horse Tavern, where as host, he took care of the wants of the travelers.Like his Grandfather, he carried on the old mill, which had been in the family for many years.He was respectfully styled "inn-keeper, husbandman, miller" in the deeds he executed.Bondsman for his estate were Samuel Bell and Samuel Aborn (Essex Probate Vol,318, p.166) [3][4]

?? He passed away on May 13, 1720, aged about 62 years, in Beverly, Massachusetts.[5]

This John Trask b 1666 would not have married in 1670 (date is actually 1679, but this john is still too young) [Woodbury-535|Christian Woodbury]] or anyone else. And it is John the widower who marries [[Dodge-1365|Mary Dodge] shortly after Christian's death. I am connecting the two women with their proper husband John b. 1653.
